SIALKOT A US transport company has announced launch of an air-conditioned CNG bus service in Sialkot for providing better transportation to the commuters.

An MoU was signed at the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Thursday. Fotan Bus Company Managing Director Joseph Verghes and SCCI President Hassan Ali Bhatti signed the agreement.

SCCI Secretary Nawaz Ahmad Toor told newsmen that the company would run 64 new CNG air-conditioned buses in the city. Besides general public, he said, the service would facilitate industrial workers and labourers of factories.

Mr Verghes said his company was launching the first bus service in Sialkot (Pakistan) keeping in view the industrial significance of the city. It would be a model bus service, he added.

The company, he said, intended to bring massive foreign investment in Pakistan in the transport sector.
