KOHAT, July 24 The security forces blew up a suspicious vehicle here on Thursday night.

Officials said that the security forces were on routine patrolling of Darra Adamkhel when they saw a suspicious van in Meri Mela area of the Frontier Region Kohat. It was parked near the mountains and there was nobody near it. During search of the vehicle, the security forces reportedly found explosives inside which could not be removed easily, so they destroyed the van.

FUNDS SHORTAGE The Frontier Foundation, which is providing free treatment to children suffering from thalassaemia, is facing difficulties in dealing with poor patients due shortage of funds.

Director of the foundation in Kohat, Sahibzada Daud, said that the organisation had 350 registered patients who were being treated freely. But due to scarcity of funds, they were not able to provide free treatment to the patients. He sought help of donors.
