MITHI, July 14: The EDO, education, Tharparkar, has informed the district Nazim that arrangements were being made to issue job offer letters for the post of primary school teacher to the selected candidates.

In a letter issued here on Saturday, the EDO, Prof Abdul Majid Hur, said that the concerned candidates had been advised to get their job orders from his office from July 17.

As many as 140 candidates had qualified for the post of primary teacher in an interview held in May 2001 but their appointment orders had not been issued.

Protesting against the inordinate delay in the issuance of the job orders, a number of the candidates have been observing a token hunger strike outside the press club here for the last 13 days.
