DOHA, July 13: Science and Technology Minister Dr Attaur Rehman arrived here on Saturday to deliver President Gen Pervez Musharraf’s message to the Amir of Qatar.

He was received by Qatar’s Education Minister Dr Ahmad Bin Khalifa Bushirbak Al Mansoori and Pakistani Ambassador Arif Kamal.

This is the third of a series of visits the minister has undertaken in connection with setting up of a multi-billion dollar pan-Islamic research and development fund to promote scientific and technological research and cooperation.

He has met King Fahad and Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zaid Al Nahyan, acting head of UAE in this regard. He will also visit Malaysia by the end of this month and meet Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammad.—APP
