LAHORE, July 12: Sheikhpura District Nazim Tawakkal Ullah Virk on Friday left the PPP after 30 years of his association and joined the PML(QA).

He made the announcement at the residence of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi. PML-QA leader Naeem Husain Chattha was also present. Pervaiz Elahi settled differences between Mr Virk and Chattha and asked them to work for the success of the party.

Meanwhile, some office-bearers of the National Awami Party Pakistan and Qaumi Tajir Ittehad also joined the PML(QA), reposing confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.

Malik Tehsin, Mian Saeed, Ghulam Husain Awan, Mian Waheed and Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar were prominent among them.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi welcomed their decision to join the PML-QA.
