KOHAT A hujra was partially damaged and an electricity pylon was blown up when improvised explosive devices went off in Kharmatoo and Kamal Khel areas of Kohat on Tuesday night.

The bomb disposal squad defused another time bomb planted at a pole of high transmission line in the area.

Unidentified persons had planted a time explosive device weighing five kilograms at a hujra in Kharmatoo, which went off after midnight.

As a result a room was completely damaged. However no loss of life was caused because nobody was present in the hujra at the time of explosion.

In another incident, militants had planted time devices at electricity pylons in Kamal Khel area, three of which exploded and damaged the pole.

The improvised explosive device attached to the fourth pylon of high power supply was defused by the bomb disposal squad.

It was second attack by militants on power pylons in the area during last one month.
