KARACHI, July 9: Sindh Governor and chancellor of NED University Mohammedmian Soomro will be the chief guest at the 7th convocation of KANUPP Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering (KINPOE) here on Thursday.

Master of Engineering degrees in Nuclear Power Engineering will be awarded by NED University vice-chancellor.

Affiliated with the NED University, KINPOE extends facilities for academic as well as practical training in nuclear power engineering, a discipline in which admission to foreign universities is denied.

Established in 1971 by Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) in the vicinity of Karachi Nuclear Power Plant, KINPOE has been imparting knowledge and skills for more than a quarter of a century, previously under the name of Karachi Nuclear Power Training Centre. It has been offering one-year postgraduate course for technician. So far, over 400 engineers and more than 950 technicians have been trained at the institute.—APP
