HARIPUR, April 24 ANP MPA from PF-51 Haripur-III, Goher Nawaz Khan was on Friday arrested from the premises of a local court, after the judge announced cancellation of his bail-before-arrest.

The MPA was on bail before arrest that he secured on February 21, 2008 from the district court Mansehra in a firing case.

According to police record, Mr Nawaz was nominated accused along with his slain brother, former provincial minister Akhtar Nawaz Khan, Mehr Nishad Khan, Saeed Khan, Goher Khan, Sami Ullah Khan and two other relatives, in the FIR of a firing case that left Haji Anwar Khan, the paternal uncle of suspended tehsil nazim Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, dead and nine others injured on February 20, 2008, in Khalabat Township.

Goher Nawaz and his brother late Akhtar Nawaz Khan obtained bail before arrest while other accused were reportedly declared proclaimed offenders.
