SADIQABAD, July 2: A surplus budget of Rs105,685,000 for Khanpur tehsil council for the fiscal 2002-03 was approved unanimously on Monday.

According to the budget estimates presented by Nazim Haji Murad Khan, expected income for the year would be Rs105,685,000 while expenditure would be Rs101,263,000.

A sum of Rs16,000,000 has been earmarked for annual development programme, Rs4,219,000 for Khushal Pakistan programme and Rs 20,000,000 for the renovation of sewerage line.

Addressing the house, the Nazim thanked the members to extend their full cooperation for smooth functioning of the house. He assured them that development funds would be distributed equally among all the members.
