LARKANA, April 16 Revenue officials drew demarcation lines on 2,524 acres of land in Deh Bhutta and Deh Panjoo in `Izat-ji-Wandh` village on Thursday in the presence of Sanam Bhutto, the only surviving offspring of late Z.A. Bhutto, to settle a dispute between her and Ghinwa Bhutto, her sister-in-law.

Sanam Bhutto arrived at Bhutto Estate amid tight security with Larkana District Coordination Officer Mohammed Jaffer Abbasi, Pakistan`s Ambassador to UAE Khursheed Junejo and local PPP leader Dr Shafqat Soomro. Revenue and survey officers and the estate manager briefed her about the land and its division with the help of charts and maps.

According to sources, the land was the cause of an old dispute between Sanam Bhutto and her sister-in-law, Ghinwa Bhutto.

Revenue personnel erected red flags at the demarcation points on the land. The share in the land of five members of the Bhutto family is Begum Nusrat Bhutto 584 acres, Mir Murtaza Bhutto 720 acres, Benazir Bhutto and Sanam Bhutto 425 acres each and Shahnawaz Bhutto`s daughter Sasuee Bhutto 370 acres.

According to the sources, an SDM of Ratodero had already parcelled out the land and only demarcations were made on Thursday.

When the land was being demarcated, Ghinwa Bhutto`s employees Maznoo Narejo, Inayat Bhutto, Akhtar Mirani and Nizam Khokhar submitted an application to the Ratodero Mukhtiarkar on behalf of Fatima Bhutto, but the official did not receive it.

Fatima had contended that the land could only be demarcated in the presence of all stakeholders.

The employees alleged that police had detained them for some time and taken away three tractors and other agricultural implements from the land.

Sanam Bhutto visited different portions of the land and asked kamdars to take possession.

Four police posts had been set up around the estate to avoid any untoward incident, the sources said.

Earlier, Sanam Bhutto met Benazir`s daughter Asifa Bhutto Zardari, the estate manager and kamdars at the President`s House camp office in Naudero. It was decided that Riaz Phulpoto would be retained as estate manager. He will look after the shares of Nusrat Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto and Sanam Bhutto.

Sanam met her peasants and went to the house of Allan Narejo to offer condolences over the death of his son.

Later she left for Sukkur after staying in Naudero for two days.

Asifa Bhutto also visited Garhi Khuda Bux.
