BEIJING, June 30: China has reiterated its full support to Pakistan in the latter’s efforts to resolve its disputes with India, including Kashmir, through negotiations and other peaceful means.

This was stated by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Inamul Haque in an interview at the end of his visit to China here on Sunday.

He said he had informed the Chinese leadership that Pakistan was not in favour of war, rather it was engaged in efforts to create a conducive atmosphere for peaceful resolution of its disputes with India.

Mr Haque said the Chinese leadership had highly appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to ease the tension in South Asia.

Replying to a question, the minister said his visit to Beijing was aimed at consulting the Chinese leadership on the latest developments in the South Asia region in the context of Pakistan-India military stand-off.—PPI
