PESHAWAR: NGO appeals

PESHAWAR, June 29: The Disabled People’s International, a local NGO, has appealed to President Musharraf for directing the railways ministry to make special arrangements for the disabled on trains.

The NGO, in a statement issued here on Saturday, appreciated the president for allocating special funds in the annual budget to modernize the railways.

The body also urged the authorities concerned to keep in view the difficulties of the disabled while modernizing facilities in trains.—Bureau
