LAHORE, Nov 1: The Punjab stadium having the first tartan track facility in Punjab will be completed in next three months.

The stadium is under construction at the Nishtar Park, in front of Gaddafi stadium and the National Hockey Stadium.

The Punjab Sports Board director general, Khalid Masood Khan, told journalists Thursday that funds were available to import tartan track from abroad.

However, he said as Pakistan was included in the war zone area, therefore, some delay was expected in completing the stadium by the given deadline of Nov 30.

He said that the policy to rent out some areas of the National Hockey Stadium building was in final stages and it would help the board to generate funds for sports on self basis.

He said that a swimming pool at the Nishtar Park was on top priority of the Punjab Sports Board for which a suitable piece of land in the park was being decided.
