LAHORE, June 24: Savings accounts have been made operative at the National Savings Centres by the National Savings Organization with immediate effect.

The NSO joint director visited different centres after the publication of a news regarding suspension of withdrawals and deposits till June 30 and ensured resumption of operation of accounts.

Unofficial suspension of the operation of the accounts during the last days of June has been a common practice at the NSCs. Managers of some centres, like the one in Allama Iqbal Town, had suspended the operation of accounts from June 21 and even put up notices for the information of account holders. —Reporter
