President grieved at Iran quake

ISLAMABAD, June 23: President Gen Pervez Musharraf has expressed shock and grief over the loss of lives and property caused by earthquake in Iran on Saturday.

In a condolence message to President of Iran Seyed Mohammad Khatemi, President Pervez Musharraf said: “We, in Pakistan, are deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the loss of many precious lives and property caused by the tragic earthquake which struck northern and western parts of Iran.”

The president said: “We share your grief and sorrow at this tragedy. May Allah grant the bereaved families strength to bear the loss of their loved ones with courage and fortitude.”
