PESHAWAR, June 23: The international community, especially the neighbouring countries should play their role in the reconstruction and development of the war-ravaged Afghanistan as durable peace was not only vital for the country, but also for the establishment of peace in the entire region.

This was stated by provincial president of the Pakistan Awmi Tehreek, Khalid Ayub, in a press statement issued here on Sunday.

He stressed the need for the establishment of peace in Afghanistan so that the South Asia may remain peaceful.

He asked the people of Afghanistan to get united on one platform and avail the golden chance to work for the development and progress of the country.

Khalid Ayub also said that peace in Afghanistan was also necessary to promote trade in the region.—PPI
