BEIJING, June 23: A six-year-old Pakistani girl, Summiya Zafar, set a record at an international painting competition and secured first position among 3,200 contestants from over 100 countries of the four continents.

Summiya, resident of Rawalpindi, was adjudged ‘the best’ by the panel of judges drawn from China, USA, Germany, Canada, South Korea and others.

An official of the Chinese Cultural Organization, which conducted the competition, told APP here on Sunday that the Pakistani girl, a student of Spring Field Public School, Lalkurti, produced a unique painting entitled ‘Peace Comes with Friendship’.—APP
