NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, June 23: The chief of the Awami Tehrik and Sindh Water Committee, Rasool Bux Palejo, has demanded of the government to immediately stop construction of the disputed greater Thal canal.

He was speaking at the water and agriculture conference here on Saturday.

He appealed the participants to join struggle against the Thal canal which was, according to him, death warrant for the people of Sindh.

Palejo said that the constitution of Pakistan had failed to deliver justice to the people of Sindh.

Dr Abrar Qazi, secretary, water committee, Wishno Mal, leader, Sindhi Hari Tehrik, and others also spoke on the occasion.
