HYDERABAD, Feb 10 The 20-member Jeay Sindh Tehrik (JST) caravan beginning its journey from Bhit Bhitai on Feb 04 reached here on Monday.

The caravan under the leadership of JST chairman Dr Mir Alam Mari plans to reach Sann on March 7 with the aim of creating awareness among the people of Sindh about their rights.

Participants on reaching Hyderabad Press Club were accorded a warm welcome by party activists.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mari termed the move of settling outsiders in Sindh as a conspiracy to turn indigenous population into a minority.

He demanded handing over of natural resources to provincial government and warned against constructing a dam on river Indus outside the province.

SUPPORT The Awami Tehrik has announced supporting the long march being organised by the South Asia Partnership, Sindh Hari Porhiyat Council and Agrarian Reforms Committee to push for amendments to the Sindh Tenancy Act.

Organisers Zulfiqar Shah, Punhal Sario and Syed Ali Mir Shah went to AT Chief Rasool Bux Palijo`s residence with an invitation seeking his participation in the long march to be launched from Hyderabad to Karachi on Feb 15.
