NAWABSHAH, June 22: Punjab should pay compensation to Sindh for the crisis it was facing due to water theft by the other.

This was demanded in a resolution adopted at the water and agriculture conference held here on Friday.

Speaking at the conference, chairman of the Awami Tehrik and the Sindh Water Committee, Rasool Bux Palejo, said that Sindh had been made a target of conspiracy as Punjab through the rulers was stealing its water share.

He said that water theft was a historic crime and the people of Sindh were going through hell due to the theft of 33,000 cusecs of water belonging to their province.

He said that the politicians, who received votes of the Sindh people, could be seen nowhere in the current volatile situation.
