15 injured in clash

KHAIRPUR, June 20: Some 15 persons were injured on Thursday in a clash between two groups of bull racers in Wari Goth village, near Khairpur town.

The clash between two groups of Phulpoto and Suhag communities, which started over some meagre issue, lasted for one hour.

The two groups later alleged the trustee of the race for the issue.

ELECTROCUTED: Syed Nabi Shah, 70, died of electric shock while operating an electric water pump in Hajna Shah village, near Kingri, here on Wednesday evening.

SALARIES: The sanitation staff, including women, of the Khuhra Union Council continued their token hunger strike for the sixth consecutive day here on Thursday against the nonpayment of their salaries for three months.
