LAHORE, Jan 6 Fine batting by Usman Tariq guided Multan to an eight-win victory over Quetta in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy National Cricket Championship tie at the Multan Cricket Stadium, Multan on Tuesday.
Usman remained unbeaten with 68 as Multan reached their target of 155 for the loss of only two wickets in 37.2 overs on the final day of the four-day match that began on Saturday.
Hammad Tariq (47, four fours) and Rameez Alam (25 not out) were the other contributors.
Meanwhile, the match between Islamabad and Peshawar was abandoned as a draw at the Marghazar Ground in Islamabad after three full days were lost to rain and bad light. In 13 overs of play possible on Saturday, Islamabad had made 47-2.
