PESHAWAR, June 11: A woman has urged the authorities to help her in recovery of her 12-year old daughter, Riffat, who was kidnapped in January.

Speaking at a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club, Bakht Begum, a resident of Tarnab Farm, said Rehmanullah, a travelling agent in Shabqadar, along with his accomplices, Malang and Iqbal, kidnapped Riffat and performed her Nikah with Hakim, son of Dilaram.

SHE SAID: “We have solemnized the Nikah of Riffat with Hameed in December 2001. Later, Rehmanullah did the same to cover his crime. However, such Nikah is un-Islamic.”
