KARACHI, April 17 Aga Khan University (AKU) Sports & Rehabilitation Centre is organising its 7th AKU Inter-University Basketball Tournament from Friday in which twelve teams from reputable universities and institutions will take part.

The teams have been divided into four pools. Pool A will feature Ziauddin Medical University (ZMU), Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, Sindh, and Greenwich University (GU) while Pool `B` will comprise Jinnah Medical & Dental College (JMDC), Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology (SSUET) and Institute of Business Administration (IBA) `B` Team.

Pool C will consist of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Institute of Business Administration (IBA) `A` Team and Institute of Business Management (IoBM) and Pool `D` will have Aga Khan University (AKU), FAST-National University (FAST-NU) and Altamash Institute of Dental Medicine (AIDM).

The tournament round matches will be played on league basis at the AKU Sports Centre Gymnasium.

On the opening day, three matches will be played. The inaugural match will be played between FAST-NU and AKU at 500p.m.

The 2nd and 3rd matches will be played between LUMHS, Jamshoro vs ZMU and IBA `A` vs. DUHS.—Agencies
