HYDERABAD, May 2: The villagers of goth Gul Mohammad Magsi and Jhando Nareejo staged a protest demonstration outside the press club here on Thursday against the SHO and a constable of Pinyari police.

Talking to newsmen they complained that nine days back the SHO and the constable came to the village and said that Mir Khan Magsi, Tooh Magsi and Gulabuddin Rajput were suspects in a robbery case and the identification of their footprints would have to be conducted.

They further said that the elders of the village produced the suspects before the police but the villagers were not released as the police demanded money.

They claimed that they also informed the Nazim of Hatri union council, Haji Khawand Bux Jahejo and taluka Nazim Pir Amjad Hussain Shah.

They said that the SHO got a false FIR registered against the detained villagers under the Arms Ordinance.

They appealed to the SP, investigation, to order an impartial inquiry into the matter.
