20 pilgrims injured in accident

DADU, April 29: Twenty passengers were injured as a bus overturned and fell into a ditch on the Indus Highway near here on Sunday night.

A passenger bus (P-005) was going to Bhit Shah from Larkana, carrying pilgrims to the annual Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.

The bus overturned and fell into a ditch at Khoonan Bridge near the shrine of Makhdoom Bilawal after the driver lost its control.

Those injured were taken to taluka, hospital, Dadu, where the condition of 10 of them, including Ghulam Hussain, Ghulam Rasool, Ghulam Haider, Ashiq Ali, Rustam Ali, Ahsan Ali, Mahram Chandio, Zulfiqar Chandio, Gulshan Soomro and Munawar Chandio, was said to be serious.

The bus driver, Mansoor, escaped from the scene.
