ISLAMABAD, April 21: Pakistan has condemned in the strongest terms the gang-rape of a Kashmiri Muslim girl by personnel of India’s Border Security Force (BSF).

In a press release issued here on Saturday, the foreign office said this was yet another addition to the long list of sordid and heinous crimes being committed against innocent and powerless Kashmiri people by the Indian forces in the Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir who have been using gang-rapes as an instrument to dishonour and humiliate the Kashmiri people into submission.

The record of the Indian government in punishing the perpetrators of such crimes has been shameful and pathetic. Most, if not all, such criminals have been let off after sham trials. The government of Pakistan hopes that the BSF men responsible for this crime will be given exemplary punishments.
