QUETTA, April 20: Balochistan Governor Amirul Mulk Mengal has said President Gen Pervez Musharraf has not only provided a solid foundation to the national economy, but has also strengthened the national institutions by introducing reforms.

It is the obligation of the people to support the president in the referendum so that the government could ensure continuity of its reforms, he said, while speaking to Nazims, councillors and tribal elders at Qila Saifullah on Wednesday. An amount of Rs150 million had been provided to the district government for development projects, he said and added that it was the responsibility of the district government to ensure fair and just use of the fund.

Mr Mengal announced construction of a girls school and approved 5,000 bulldozer hours for the Muslim Bagh.
