KARACHI, April 11: President General Pervez Musharraf will address six public meetings in Sindh in connection with the forthcoming referendum.

This was stated by the Sindh Local Government Minister, Dewan Muhammad Yousuf Farooqui, while talking to reporters here on Thursday.

He said that the President will address a big public meeting in the historic city of Thatta on Saturday morning, while in the afternoon he will address another meeting at Sanghar.

On April 18, the President will address public meetings at Sukkur and Jacobabad, while the fifth meeting will be held at Hyderabad on April 26.

The last public meeting in Sindh will be held in Karachi on the 28th.

Mr Dewan said that he visited Thatta and Sanghar to review the arrangements for holding the public meetings. He said that the Nazims and councillors are very active, and he witnessed great enthusiasm among the people.—APP
