ISLAMABAD, April 5: Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, a senior PML-Q leader, has demanded of the Ad hoc Public Accounts Committee (PAC) to complete inquiry in his case, by hearing him in person, and clear him of the charges of misusing government money and resources.

Shujaat’s involvement in financial irregularities and misuse of official resources had been echoed in a couple of PAC meetings, and had got publicity through the Press.

As a result, Mr Shujaat with his comrades and journalists intervened in a PAC meeting, leading to exchange of harsh words.

Talking to newsmen here, Mr Hussain said a wrong impression of his meeting with the PAC members at the Parliament House was taken, as if he had intruded upon the premises or interrupted the proceedings. He said he was not only allowed, but also escorted to the committee room by security personnel.

He had presented his point of view on the invitation of PAC Chairman H.U.Baig, he claimed.
