SIALKOT, March 31: Three villagers, including two women, were killed on Sunday by Indian shelling on villages in the Sialkot working boundary’s Shakargarh-Narowal sectors.

Official sources said Razia Bibi was working in her fields in Karool Ranga village (Shakargarh) when some bullets hit her. She died on the spot.

Rubina Akhtar was present in the courtyard of her house in Nangal village when a bullet fired by Indian troops hit her, killing her instantly.

Abdul Karim of Thaakarpur Muqaam village (Shakargarh) also became victim to Indian firing. He was standing on roadside and died on the spot. Sources said five more houses were badly damaged by Indian mortar shelling on villages in the working boundary’s Chhumb Joriyaan (Gujrat), Charwa, Saamba and Shakargarh-Narowal sectors.

They said two Indian troops were killed and several others sustained serious injuries when Chenab Rangers retaliated near Jammu and Saamba sectors. A big Indian heavy ammunition vehicle was also destroyed, they added.
