HYDERABAD, June 5: Hyderabad City Taluka Naib Nazim Abdul Qadeer Naghar has expressed concern over the issuance of detection bills by Hesco without meter reading.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, Mr Naghar said the consumers had been paying taxes and utility bills but the daily load-shedding for hours, issuance of detection bills without meter reading and the disconnection of power supply due to wrong bills had made their lives miserable.
He alleged that whenever a consumer visited a Hesco office to file his complaint, he was insulted, humiliated and thrown out of the office.
The Naib Nazim said he had received numerous complaints in this regard and warned Hesco officials that if the situation was not rectified, the consumers could launch a struggle which would be difficult for them to control.
He also urged Wapda chairman and Hesco chief to take immediate steps to resolve the genuine problems of the consumers.
The Naib Nazim, who visited many parts of the city, expressed dissatisfaction over sanitary conditions and warned that action would be taken against the delinquent officials and the staff.
HESCO: The executive engineer, Gari Khata operation division, Hesco, Hyderabad, has announced that there will be no power supply in the areas of Al-Mustafa Town-I and II (Doaba Feeder) on June 10 and in the areas of Qasimabad (Qasimabad Feeder) on June 11 from 7:00am to 1:00pm on account of maintenance work in the feeders.
notification: The Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco) notified on Tuesday that at a cost of tens of millions of rupees, 132 KV grid station transformers of 13 MVA were being replaced by 26 MVA transformers with six panels to provide better facilities to the power consumers.
A spokesman of the company said that the power supply to the consumers of the area could be suspended from 7am on June 7 to 7pm on June 9.
He, however, said that the 6.3 MVA power transformers would remain functional and the load would be shifted to other grid stations.
He appealed to the consumers to desist from using air-conditioners and other electricity gadgets during these two days.
