GIRL shot dead over Karo-kari

DADU, March 14: A young girl, Abida Parveen, 18, daughter of Ghulam Mohammad Bhurgari, was shot dead by her cousin, Abdul Latif Bhurgari, on the pretext of Karo-Kari in Baloch colony Kotri on Thursday.

Qurban Bhurgari, the brother of the girl, has lodged a case under section 302 of the QDO with Kotri police against the accused.

HIJACKED: Eight armed men hijacked a truck (LS-9786) loaded with 480 bags of sugar worth of Rs60000, near Sehwan on the Indus Highway on Thursday.

The truck was going to Larkana from Badin district.

The armed men also beat up the driver Ayaz Kandhro, labourers Sheer Mohammad, Mohammad Azam and Arshad Ali.

CONSTABLE KILLED: A constable, Mohammad Siddique Katohar (35), was killed at Bhambha village on Bhan Saeedabad-Talti road near Bhan Saeedabad.

Five robbers opened fire killing him on the spot.—BoC
