Villagers get two accused freed

SUKKUR, Dec 31: Villagers attacked a police party and got freed two accused in Jatoi Wandh village of taluka Garhi Yaseen on Monday.

The police party of Gaheja police station had arrested two accused, Jalal Ahmed and Saeed Jatoi, in a case and was taking them to the police station when the villagers attacked them with axes and batons.

The attackers injured a constable Ghulam Server Kakrani who was later shifted to hospital.

The police registered a case against eight villagers including Saeed, Jalal, Dosoo, Yar Muhammad and Hakeem Jatoi.

LANDLORD KILLED: Mumtaz Ali Jamali, a landlord of Garhi Khairo, was gunned down by unknown killers on Monday near General Bus Stand, Jacobabad.
