Kaneria spins KPI into semis

KARACHI, Oct 14: Danish Kaneria, the Pakistan ace leg-spinner, turned in another sterling performance to guide KPI into the semi-finals of the 10th Danish Trophy Ramazan cricket tournament at the KPI Ground.

Kaneria returned figures of four for 10 in 2.4 overs as KGA Gymkhana, who were also in contention, were bowled out for 101.

Youngster Shahzeb Khan (43) and Kaneria (24) then set up KPI’s win by putting on 75 for the opening stand.

Meanwhile, Tapal CC received a walkover when defending champions Saddar Town failed to turn up for their match.
