Zafar XI win

KARACHI, Oct 14: Fine goals by Mohammad Khalid and Qavi Khan helped Zafar XI edge past Zubair XI by 2-1 in Ramazan Trophy hockey tournament at UBL Sports Complex on Saturday.

Qavi opened the scoring in the third minute while Khalid doubled the lead in the 26th minute. Wasif netted the consolation goal for the losers in the 58th minute.

In another game, Jamil XI pulverised Aziz XI 16-1 thanks to a Farooq Khan hat-trick. Apart from Farooq, Amir and Asif Aslam found the cage four times each, while Irfan, S. Aslam, Rashid Yaqoob, S. Hanif and Irfan Khan scored one goal apiece.

A.M. Abbas scored the solitary goal for the losers.
