KARACHI, April 30: Suggestions pertaining to amendments to the Sindh Local Government Ordinance were discussed at meeting presided over by Sindh Chief Minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim.

The meeting was informed that the NRB has given final shape to 75 amendments.

At the meeting matters pertaining district governments, powers of nazims and other offices, procedure for removal and method of voting were discussed in detail. Various suggestions were also finalized.

Federal government’s decision of decreasing the number of union councils was also discussed apart from other matters.—APP
