LAHORE, April 28: The visiting European Commission delegation has launched a series of seminars on the European Initiative for Democracy and Human Rights 435,000 euro Micro Projects Programme. A seminar will be held here on April 29 to train about 80 representatives of NGOs on the programme and the conditions and procedures to apply.

Similar seminars have already been held at Quetta and Karachi earlier this month, according to a press release issued here on Thursday.

Under the programme, funds will be awarded to eligible NGOs for micro-projects to promote human rights and democracy.

The next seminar is scheduled to be held in Islamabad on May 5.—APP
