CHARSADDA, June 4: An Afghan leader of Kunduz, Dr Tila Mohammad, on Tuesday alleged that Pakhtoons have been ignored in the formation of Loya Jirga, to be held in Kabul from June 10.

Dr Tila, who has been active in the Afghan politics since the arrival  of Soviet troops in Afghanistan, said Pakhtoons, the major ethnic group of the country, were first brutalized by the former Soviet Union and now the United States was persecuting them because they put up a strong resistance to foreign interference in their country.

He said that since the Taliban movement was dominated by the Pakhtoons, the western nations in general and the US in particular looked at them with suspicion.
