KARACHI, April 26: An eight-member Chinese team, led by Director General Livestock Bureau and Chairman Yantai Kaida Livestock Co Ltd, Qu Xize, has shown interest in investment in mineral mines, livestock, electronic products and real estate sectors in Pakistan.

In a meeting with FPCCI members, the leader of the visiting delegation said that the friendly relations between Pakistan and China have strengthened Chinese investors’ confidence in Pakistan.

The team is on a visit to study the taxation policies of Pakistan in the above mentioned sectors, he said hoping that the present trip would give more confidence to the Chinese investors to improve cooperation, says an FPCCI press release.

FPCCI Vice-President, Akbar Abdullah said that the business community attached greatest importance to the political and commercial relations with China and perceived it as time-tested friend and a very important partner in its economic development and bilateral trade.

He said that the involvement of Chinese enterprise both in terms of technical and financial assistance in several development projects of Pakistan including Saindak and the construction of Gwadar seaport mega project was reflective of our cordial relations based on mutual interest, candour and sincerity.

APP adds: The Chinese delegation chief during a meeting with Vice President KCCI Mian Abrar Ahmad said the delegation interested in the rules and procedures of business in Pakistan specially government’s investment policy in particular reference to joint ventures.

He pointed out that the visit of this delegation was a follow up to the visit of Chinese premier to Pakistan.

He said that the investment climate in Pakistan was very good and chances for joint ventures were bright.
