HYDERABAD, June 4: The Anti-Terrorism Court, Hyderabad, has issued notices to Asif Ali Zardari, his father, Hakim Ali Zardari, Ansari brothers and other co-accused in the double murder case of Alam Baloch and his gunman Imdad Baloch.

Notice on Asif Zardari will be served through the Karachi jail whereas Hakim Ali Zardari is admitted to a hospital of Karachi as he has been exempted from attending the court. Both of them are on bail. Ansari brothers have also been issued notices for the next date of hearing — July 6.

The court issued the notices to the accused to decide about the investigation report-cum-supplementary charge-sheet, submitted by Crime Branch DSP Zarar Khan after re-investigation of the case.

The investigation officer has exonerated Hakim Ali Zardari and another accused, Zawar Ghulam Hyder. He has however included two other suspects, Inayat Jamali and Nawab Leghari, for prosecution in the case.

In the charge-sheet, the DSP did not mention names of Hakim Zardari and Zawar Ghulam Hyder in column-2 which was exclusively meant for those accused whom the police either absolved in investigation or they were shown absconders.

The re-investigation was conducted under the orders of Sindh IGP. The report is still on record and had not been accepted as yet.

The former federal secretary, Alam Baloch, and his gunman were gunned down on Wadhuwah Road here.
