KARACHI: Shoro files petition in SHC

KARACHI, Feb 26: Hafeez Shoro, an estate agent, allegedly involved in a land scam concerning sacked Sindh Revenue Minister Imtiaz Shaikh on Satruday filed a constitutional petition before High Court of Sindh.

The petitioner prayed to the court to order registration of FIR against Anti-Corruption Establishment officials for keeping him in illegal custody.

Shoro was recovered from the toilet of the Anti-Corruption police lockup by a judicial magistrate who raided the place and found Shoro locked in a toilet.

Shoro informed the JM that since he was taken into custody, he was kept in the toilet day and night. He was let off by the JM with the direction to appear before the JM South on whose orders a raid was conducted.

Earlier, Shoro's son challenged his fathers' alleged illegal dentetion by the Anti-Corruption Police.

The petition was accepted and is likely to come up on Monday before a division bench of High Court of Sindh.-APP
