PIA denies sacking of DMD

ISLAMABAD, Feb 5: PIA's spokesperson, Samina Pervez, on Saturday said the post of the deputy managing director (finance) had been abolished and the officer concerned relieved of his duties.

Clarifying a report, 'PIA officer relieved', PIA's GM Public Relations said it was not true that DMD Finance, Kaleem Malik, had been 'sacked'. She said 'no ministry has had anything to do with the change in the administrative set-up'.

Regarding AVM (retd) Niaz Hussain, the PIA spokesperson said the director operations left on his own for he needed more time to attend to some pressing family matters.
