FAISALABAD, Feb 5: Four people, including two brothers, were shot dead by two gunmen over the issue of kidnap of a girl in Chak 55 GB in the limits of Jaranwala police station on Saturday.

Police claimed that Umar Hayat and his accomplice attacked the house of Azmaish Ali and opened fire on him, his brother Rana Ashfaq, cousin Maqsood Ahmad and his son Amanullah, killing them on the spot.

The attackers fled from the scene after committing the crime.

Police further claimed that a girl of the accused family had eloped a couple of months ago and they suspected that the boy was from Azmaish's family.
