CPI, CPI-M leaders to visit Pakistan

HYDERABAD, Nov 18: The secretary general of the Mr Party of Pakistan, Mr Imdad Qazi, has announced that the secretary general of the Communist Party of India (CPI) , Mr A.B. Bardhan and the secretary general of the Communist Party of India Marxist (CPIM), Mr Harkishan Singh Surjeet will be visiting Pakistan from Dec 1 to Dec 9 on the invitation of the CPP and other allied leftist parties.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Mr Qazi said the visit would go a long way in the promotion of coordination among leftist parties of South Asian countries.

He said the visit of the two leaders would also be helpful in promoting friendship between Pakistan and India and prove a bulwark against imperialism.

Mr Qazi said that other communist party leaders of India, Muralitharan Vishwanath and Sitaram Bachori would accompany Mr Bardhanand and Mr Surjeet.
