PESHAWAR, Nov 18: The NWFP government on Thursday ordered promotions, transfers and postings of several officers of health department.

According to a notification issued by the Establishment & Administration Department, the competent authority in consultation with the provincial selection board has ordered promotion of five officers from basic pay scale (BPS) 19 to 20. The officers are Dr Muhammad Yasin Fani, Dr Jehanzeb Khan, Dr Chiragh Hussain, Dr Ibrarullah and Dr Ali Gohar Durrani.

On promotion, the officers would be on probation for a period of one year in terms of Section-6(7) of the NWFP Civil Servants Act, 1973, read with Rule-15(1) of the NWFP Civil Servant (Appointment, Promotion and Transfer) Rules, 1989.

With these promotions, transfers and postings have also been ordered. Dr Muhammad Yasin Fani (BPS-20), Senior Medical Officer, LRH, has been transferred as Medical Superintendent, District Headquarters Hospital, Kohat.

Dr Jehanzeb Khan (BPS-20), Medico-legal Officer, District Headquarters Hospital, D.I.Khan, has been posted as Medical Superintendent in the same hospital.

Dr Chiragh Hussain (BPS-20), Medical Superintendent, District Headquarters Hospital, D.I.Khan, has been re-designated as Surgeon (BPS-20) in the same hospital (for the purpose of pay).

Likewise, Dr Ibrarullah (BPS-20) has been posted as Medical Superintendent, District Headquarters Hospital, Mardan.

Dr Ali Gohar Durrani (BPS-20), Director, NWFP Health Foundation, has been transferred as Principal, Public Health School, Hayatabad (Peshawar).

Dr Saleem Javed Gandapur (BPS-20), Medical Superintendent, Hayatabad Medical Complex, has been posted as Director Provincial Health Services Academy, Peshawar, by replacing Dr Muhammad Iqbal (BPS-20), who will now work as Medical Superintendent, Hayatabad Medical Complex.

Dr Abdul Sabooh Bacha (BPS-19), Director (PH) Office of Director General Health Services, has been posted as Medical Superintendent, Khyber Teaching Hospital, while Dr Rahim Jan Afridi (BPS-19), Medical Superintendent, KTH, has been posted as Director, NWFP Health Foundation.
