HYDERABAD, Nov 13: The academic council of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences at its meeting held here on Thursday expressed satisfaction over the pace of progress and developmental activities and the achievements of the university in academics, research and patient care.

The council attributed the remarkable achievements during a brief period to the visionary and dynamic leadership of vice-chancellor Prof Jan Mohammad Memon and the hard work and collaborative efforts of its faculty members and administrative officers.

The council reposed its full confidence in the leadership qualities of Prof Jan Mohammad Memon and assured him of full support.

The council members also expressed their resolve to work with similar zeal and vigour for the progress of the university in future as well.

It might be recalled here that the district council at its session held on Nov 3 had adopted a resolution moved by Yousuf Qureshi, demanding the removal of the management of the Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences and holding of an impartial inquiry into the alleged embezzlement in the university.
