LAHORE, Nov 10: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will urge Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to allocate most of matches of Pakistan team's next year tour of India to the cities situated near Pakistan's territory.

PCB chairman Shaharyar M. Khan said before leaving for India with the Pakistan team for one-day international match being held at Kolkata on Nov 13 as part of the BCCI's platinum jubilee celebrations.

The chairman said that the team would play three Tests and five One-day matches from Feb 25 to April 9 for which the venues would be decided during his tour.

He said that PCB would like the cities namely Mohali, Chandigarh and New Delhi for most of the matches.

It would also facilitate Pakistani spectators to go India and want matches.

He said that presidents of Bangladesh and Sri Lankan cricketing authorities would also be in Kolkata and informal meeting regarding Asian cricket affairs was likely.

Meanwhile, a 13-member team left for India. Shoaib Akhtar and Shoaib Malik are already in India and will join the team there.

Coach Bob Woolmer, holidaying in South Africa, will also join the team there.
