ISLAMABAD, Nov 10: Three persons were killed in separate incidents on Wednesday, police said. In the first incident, two persons were killed and two injured when their vehicles collided near Sawan Camp.

The accident occurred when a taxi (RIR-9299), driven by Mohammad Imran, overturned when one of its tyres burst, and crashed into another taxi (RIG-9151) coming from the opposite direction. As a result, four persons suffered multiple injuries.

However, two persons died on their way to the District Headquarters Hospital. The condition of the other two is said to be critical.

In another incident, a labourer was electrocuted in G-11/1 sector.

The deceased, identified as Abdul Jabbar, suffered electric shocks while he was working in a godown. He died while being shifted to the hospital.

Our Staff Reporter From Pindi Adds: A woman set herself on fire in her house in F-Block Satellite Town on Wednesday, police said.

Gul Zareen, wife of Tahir Hanif, was found dead in her bedroom when her husband returned from his duty.

Quoting her husband, the police said the woman had earlier also attempted suicide by taking pills, but she survived.

"She had been mentally sick which apparently drove her to commit suicide. However, the real cause is yet to be ascertained," the investigating officer said.

The investigating officer said one empty bottle of kerosene and another filled were found from her bedroom. However, nothing else, like a suicide note, has been found which could help the police determine the motive behind the suicide.
