LAHORE, Nov 10: The wives of under-detention Jagranvi brothers have alleged harassment and intimidation by police during their detention.

Speaking at a press conference here on Wednesday, Mrs Ehsan Jagranvi and Mrs Saad Jagranvi, however pledged to continue their struggle for the release of their husbands.

They, along with Mrs Asad Jagranvi and their babies had been arrested from outside the Lahore Press Club when they were leaving by a rickshaw after holding a peaceful demonstration there on Saturday last to protest against the arrest of their husbands.

The Jagranvi family is an active member of the outlawed Hizbut Tehrir which, as its members say, is working for establishment of the Caliphate system in the world. The women were bailed out on Sunday.

They alleged that they were kept with five prostitutes at the police station where two police officials visited them and asked them to give up their activities. However, they said, they could not sit as a silent spectator and would continue their struggle.
